Srdečně Vás zveme na první exkurzi organizovanou Centrem pro moderní umění & teorii, která povede do nově zrekonstruované Slovenské národní galerie v Bratislavě, kterou nás na soukromé prohlídce provede její generální ředitelka Alexandra Kusá!

Budova Slovenské národní galerie na Rázusově nábřeží prošla dlouhou a strastiplnou cestou k její nové podobě, která byla úspěšně zakončena v prosinci 2022. Od jara letošního roku ji už návštěvníci mohou obdivovat v plné kráse spolu s nainstalovanými sbírkami. Mimo přirozené úkoly jako prezentace umění a zachovávání kulturního dědictví, které se s fungováním galerie vážou, si tým SNG vytyčil za cíl vytvořit i kulturní a kultivovaný veřejný prostor, kde budou návštěvníci, kolemjdoucí i obyvatelé Bratislavy rádi trávit volný čas. Rekonstrukce areálu se tedy musela vypořádat i s tímto úkolem.

Zajímá Vás, jak celá rekonstrukce probíhala a co bylo nejtěžší? Jak byl organizován přesun sbírkového fondu do nově zrekonstruované budovy? A pustila by se SNG do podobného projektu znovu? Studenti obdrží od Semináře dějin umění podporu na cestovní náklady ve výši 300,- Kč.

We cordially invite you to the first excursion organised by the Centre for Modern Art & Theory, which will head to the newly renovated Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava, through which we will be guided on a private tour by its general director, Alexandra Kusá!

The building of the Slovak National Gallery on the Rázus embankment has gone through a long and arduous journey to its new form, which was completed in December 2022. Since the spring of this year, visitors can admire its full beauty with the installed collections. In addition to the natural tasks of presenting art and preserving cultural heritage, which are connected with the functioning of the gallery, the SNG team set itself the goal of creating a cultural and cultivated public space where visitors, passers-by, and residents of Bratislava will enjoy spending their free time. Therefore, the area’s reconstruction also had to deal with this task. Are you interested in how the rebuilding took place and its most challenging parts? How was the transfer of the collection fund to the newly renovated building organised? And would SNG embark on a similar project again? On the 11th of December 2023, SNG general director and art historian Alexandra Kusá will answer these and other questions.

The students will receive support from the Art History Department for travel expenses of 300,- CZK.
